Out of all the CI/CD tools I’ve used, GitLab CI has been by far the least overwhelming. This isn’t to say it lacks features. I just think it feels the closest to the simplicity I feel from using GitHub. I haven’t used GitHub Actions either myself, but for now, I’ve been enjoying GitLab CI a lot.
Setting up the runners took a bit of time, but everything else felt very straightforward other than the plenty and unappealing UI.
